Our Lenses
Single Vision
Single vision lenses have one single power over the entire surface of the lens. They are suitable for distance, e.g. driving, watching TV and also for reading or using the computer.
Varifocal Lenses
Varifocal Lenses are ideal for all distances and provide a gradual progression of power on the lens correcting near, distance and intermediate vision without the need of separate pairs of glasses. As there are no visible lines on the lens they are cosmetically more attractive to wear. It may take 2-4 weeks to get used to your varifocals especially if you haven’t worn them before.
Bifocal
Bifocal lenses contain two different prescriptions in the same lens and have a visible dividing line separating the two prescriptions. The upper part is used for seeing at a distance, such as driving and watching TV and the lower part is used for reading.
Polycarbonate Lenses
Polycarbonate lenses are shatterproof and have a built in Scratch Resistant coating. They are thinner and lighter compared to regular plastic lens material and offer 100% protection from the suns harmful light. Polycarbonate lenses are recommended for children, individuals with an active lifestyle and safety glasses.
